So who is Kim Beckley?

Born in South Korea and adopted by a european family at the age of four, Kim was lucky to be  raised in sunny Barbados till the age of 15. She then moved to the UK. During her school years, Kim always knew that art and creativity was to be a major part of her life. She completed her Bachelors Degree in Silversmithing and Jewellery Design with Honours. She then moved to Germany to undertake a four year goldsmithing apprenticeship. During her apprenticeship she gained work experience in several European countries such as Austria and Holland.

After completeing her apprenticeship, Kim returned to her hometown Barbados to set up her first shop/gallery called Spectra. If you were on the island between 1996 to 2002 then you may have browsed in her shop which was based in Bridgetown. The business was a success! Kim won a prestigious award for her creative attribution to the country and was the goldsmith for several Barbadian politicians.

In 2002 Kim decided that it was time to travel the world. She left Barbados with a just a rucksack and took a plane to India. Just over a year later she decided to set root in the UK again. She worked for various jewellery companies as manageress..Andrew Scott and Diana Porter to name a few. In 2007 Kim set up her second business in Evesham called Kim Jewellery. 

For all the challenges that life has thrown at her, jewellery has always been a constant passion and comfort. She loves designing and creating. Commission work is where her heart lies. So give her a call or come in for an imformal chat where designs can be discussed and realised.
